Three brands monopolize the smart watch market, Apple's share rises to 55% in the first quarter

Apple Watch now has a 55.5% market share, an increase of 1.1% year-on-year. South Korea's Samsung Electronics ranked second with 1.9 million units shipped this quarter, an increase of 11.8% year-on-year. The South Korean technology giant's market share fell from 14.9% in the first quarter of 2019 to 13.9% in the most recent period. It is worth mentioning that in the smart phone market, Samsung Electronics is the undoubted boss. Apple was once the number one rival of Samsung Electronics, but the current market share has fallen behind Huawei. Garmin, ranked third, shipped 1.1 million units in the first quarter, an increase of 37.5%. Samsung is still the world's second-largest smart watch supplier, but its growth has slowed down due to the lockdown of the new crown epidemic in South Korea and competition from hungry competitors like Garmin. The report shows that in the first quarter, global smart watch sales increased by 20% to 13.7 million units.
