IEEE Fellow Shipeng Li: Thoughts on Frontier Research of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics

On the second day of the conference, Li Shipeng, director of Sier Laboratory, former executive dean of Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, and IEEE Fellow, gave a speech on "Thinking about Frontier Research of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics" at the GAIR conference . Academician Li is influential in the fields of multimedia, IoT and AI. Listed as one of the top 1000 computer scientists in the world by Guide2Research. Four winners of the MIT TR35 Innovation Award have been cultivated. He is one of the initiators and joint secretary-general of the (Ministry of Science and Technology) New Generation Artificial Intelligence Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance. Deep learning relies on big data, and its bottleneck is also big data. I personally think that cognitive science is the focus of breaking through the deep learning framework. Comparing the operating modes of humans and other animals, the combination of muscles, bones, sensors and nerves can achieve flexible operation with low energy consumption. Imitating the motion intelligence of animals, for example, motion control adopts an approaching feedback type, and the motion process can be adjusted flexibly at any time depending on changes.
