In the early hours of this morning, at the opening speech of WWDC 2021, Apple brought us updates on its smart home products. Unfortunately, due to various reasons, Apple's audio products including HomePod, HomePod mini, AirPods, AirPods Max, AirPods Pro do not support Apple Music lossless audio, which is regrettable. Apple officially announced at WWDC 2021 that in order to solve this problem, they have joined hands with a number of smart home companies including Google and Amazon to jointly establish a connection standard alliance and bring consumers a new connection protocol "Matter". Until May of this year, CHIP released the first version of the standard and officially changed its name to Matter, and the Zigbee Alliance also announced an upgrade to the Connected Standards Alliance to participate in related affairs. According to Apple's official statement, iOS 15 will support this connection standard. At the moment when HomePod has been discontinued, HomePod mini is bound to assume the important task of smart home control center. On the other hand, the introduction of the Matter agreement reflects Apple's efforts to "eliminate ecological barriers."
